Clubs
Community Clubs are part of the Highlands Council and are managed by staff and volunteers.

Book Club. Do you enjoy reading AND sharing with friends? The book club is a great place to meet neighbors and explore a variety of books. We take turns hosting-all opinions are welcome! Please bring a snack to share. Dates sometimes change, so be sure to email to get on the distribution list.

Chinese Heritage Club. To promote and preserve unique Chinese cultural heritage awareness among next generation for many local families, this club welcomes everyone who is interested in a neighborhood celebration for many traditional Chinese/American festivals right at Issaquah Highland. Contribution Club. To bring together interested members in IH community for the purpose of contributing to the greater needs beyond our community. This club will be made of committed individuals, couples and families that want to and/or are making a difference at a community, city, state and world level. The club will initially take on one project per quarter that affects our community, city, state or world. The club will meet once a month for no more than 2 hours to discuss projects and align on roles in the projects. For households with families, this will be an opportunity to include children in the act of giving and contribution back one's community. Contact Tony & Kristen Bristol at 425-313-1880.

Firehouse Fiddlers. Our musical group is made up of primarily fiddle players of varying backgrounds and abilities, all working toward the goal of learning Irish and other Celtic tunes, along with occasional Old Timer and Quebecois tunes. Our format is quite informal - we share and learn a new tune every other week and then practice our old material in a jam session. Other welcome instruments for accompaniment are guitar (chords available for most tunes), drum, flute or whistle. We attempt to learn the new tunes by ear in a traditional manner, however, sheet music is usually also provided. for questions.

Photography Club. Come join avid Issaquah photographers for a fun, informative evening of photography. Digital SLR camera is highly recommended but not required. All skills levels welcome. We'll meet the last Thursday evening of every month, 7-8:30pm at Blakely Hall. At our meetings we discuss new topics (i.e. lighting, composition, exposure, etc.) share experiences, information and ideas. Contact Steve with any questions: .

Playgroup. Moms, dads, caregivers and their children (newborn-3yrs. old) are invited to come to the Issaquah Highlands playgroup for some fun, friendship, support and socializing. We talk, laugh, sing, play, read stories and blow bubbles! We hope to see you there! Toastmasters. Wildlife Stewards. Nestled at the edge of the Cascades Mountains we enjoy the sounds of songbirds, the sight of deer grazing and the opportunity to see various kinds of wildlife. This group is about learning to live with the wildlife in our backyards, whether you like bird watching, mammal tracking, or just observing animals in their natural environment. Our objective is to provide information to our neighbors about living safely with bears, cougars, coyotes, raccoons and enjoying our abundant species of wildlife. Yoga for Wellness Class. Saturdays, 7:30am, Blakely Hall. YogaBharati Seattle Chapter welcomes you to discover the treasures of yoga. With a sense of "Seva"- community service, we are offering Yoga for wellness series of Free Yoga classes. Classes taught by certified Yoga instructor. Zumba Class. Ditch the Workout - Join the Party! ZUMBA is a fusion of Latinand International music - dance themes creating a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! Issaquah Highlands Grocery Coupon Exchange Club. Blakely Hall. Bring your unwanted manufacturer's grocery coupons to exchange for coupons you need! Coupons can be clipped from the inserts in your Sunday newspaper, printed from valid couponing websites (such as Coupons.com), or may be Catalina coupons (from the little machine at the grocery checkout). When you arrive, sort your unwanted coupons by category into the labeled bins (i.e. Household, Dairy, Personal, Frozen, etc.), then browse the bins to find coupons you need and take them home. The club is also a great place to share noteworthy couponing scenarios concerning local stores. Let the savings begin! Meets the 4th Monday of every month, from 7:00pm to 8:00pm at Blakely Hall. Craft Beer Club. Do you love great beer? Are you a homebrewer? A beer geek? Want to learn more? Come meet your fellow beer enthusiasts to taste and discuss craft beers. We meet the third Thursday of every month in Blakely Hall. Email for more information.

Hindi Language Classes. Every Sunday, 5:30-6:30pm. Namastey! (Hello). Hindi is national language of India. To help our kids learn hindi a group of parents are volunteering to teach hindi language from basic to Issaquah Highland's kids. This class will teach conversational / written / reading aspect of Hindi language in fun & relaxed environment with active participation of kids. The major goal of this program is to have our kids use Hindi in as large a variety of real-life situations as possible. There are 3 levels Beginners, Intermediate & Advance. Hindi beginner class is every Sunday from 5:30 PM till 6:30 PM in Issaquah Firestation. This program is free of cost for all Highland's kids. Talk Time. English Conversation classes for English language learners at the YWCA Family Village. Talk Time is a free conversational class that offers opportunities to practice English skills and meet new people in the neighborhood.
